Ladybug Birthday

Ladybug Birthday

For little girls, a ladybug birthday really hits the spot. Ladybug birthday decorations are red, black and anything ladybug. Let your imagination go wild: red and black balloons, a red tablecloth with several cut-out black circles on top coupled with solid green plates and tableware makes for an inviting ladybug party setting. Turn every ladybug party guest into a ladybug with antennae made from a headband, pipe cleaners and Styrofoam balls. One ladybug game could be a scavenger hunt where guests try to find as many hidden ladybugs as possible.

Another ladybug game is a beanbag toss. Buy or make ladybug beanbags for a game where the girls toss the beanbags through a hole in a cardboard flower or onto a giant leaf on the floor. Boys Birthday

Boys Birthday

When planning a boys birthday why not think of fishing? A boys birthday with a fish theme is cute, versatile and pretty inexpensive to decorate. Decorate the fish party area with blue and green balloons and streamers hung from the ceiling.

Cut fish shapes out of colorful construction paper and attach them to some of the streamers. At the fish party table use a blue tablecloth sprinkled with confetti with cups of gummi worms. Trace a large fish on colored construction paper for fish party placemats. Your fishing birthday party would not be complete without a selection of games and activities for your guests.

Plant Terrarium

Plant Terrarium

The joy of a plant terrarium is an activity where your child can begin to learn about the natural world. A plant terrarium is a container made of glass or other clear material, usually sealed, enclosing a garden of small plants.

As they make a terrarium, your child has an opportunity to learn about photosynthesis: how a plant takes in sunlight and carbon dioxide, produces food for itself and releases oxygen. Once they make a terrarium, water it and seal it up, you can teach your child about the process of condensation that automatically waters their plants.
